Facebook-owned company Facebook, in association with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has started this facility for people to book vaccination slots. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya himself has given this information on Twitter. He said, “Paving the way for a new era of citizen convenience, now easily book a slot for COVID 19 vaccine on your phone within minutes.”
Along with this, WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart has also given information in this regard by tweeting. He wrote, ‘We are partnering with the Government of India and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. This will facilitate people by booking slots for vaccination through WhatsApp. He says that along with booking the vaccination slot, people will also be able to download their Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate through this platform. He has informed that 30 lakh Indians have taken advantage of this facility.

- First of all, save the number 9013151515 of MyGov Corona Helpdesk on your mobile.
- After this, send Book Slot in English from WhatsApp to this saved number.
- After this, enter the 6 digit OTP received through SMS in it.
- Select the date of vaccination, location, pin code and type of vaccine as per your convenience during the WhatsApp chat itself.
- After this, confirm your slot during this chat and go to the vaccination center on the scheduled date and get the vaccine.
