Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a five-day visit to Italy and Britain and has reached Rome. PM Modi has arrived in Rome to attend the 16th summit of leaders of the G-20 countries at the invitation of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi. After this, he will visit Glasgow in Britain from November 1 to 2 at the invitation of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

He said, ‘I will attend the 16th G-20 Leaders’ Summit in Rome and join discussions with the leaders of the G20 countries about the impact of the corona epidemic, sustainable development and climate change on the world economy and health reform. .’

Will also participate in 26th COP Conference

After attending the G-20 summit, PM Narendra Modi will leave for Glasgow, UK on the evening of 31 October, where he will participate in the 26th COP summit. PM Modi will meet Prime Minister Boris Johnson during his UK tour. Prime Minister Modi will also meet the Pope at the Vatican. Before the visit, PM Modi said, ‘I will be in the United Kingdom from November 1-2 at the invitation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.’

Concrete results are expected in dealing with the epidemic

Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that the G-20 summit can yield “concrete results” on similar challenges to be faced in the future, including combating the Kovid-19 epidemic, and issues like global health infrastructure, economic recovery will be discussed. The Foreign Secretary also said that India is well on track to meet the targets set under the Paris Agreement and looks forward to meeting its commitments to make available financial resources and technology to help developing countries combat climate change.
