UP court news: courts will only have virtual hearings- In view of the outbreak of Corona (COVID-19 Pandemic), Allahabad High Court has issued new guidelines for the district courts, tribunals and family courts of the state. Under this, the trial of cases will now be done only in virtual mode. No case will be heard by being physically present. The High Court has barred the entry of lawyers and litigants, stamp vendors, advocates and clerks into the court premises. Acting Chief Justice Sanjay Yadav has given this order in view of Corona’s growing transition.

The High Court has directed that only fresh bail, advance bail, remand and urgent cases will be heard. For this, the duty of one or more judicial officers will not be imposed. Duty will be levied on a rotation basis. The trial will be heard only through video conferencing from the district court or judicial officer’s residence. The duty of employees will also be imposed on the basis of rotation. Previously issued guidelines will be applicable for the remaining cases. Earlier, the High Court had allowed the trial of the cases in virtual and physical mode. But this order has been revised keeping in view the increasing rate of infection. Registrar Protocol Ashish Kumar Srivastava gave this information.

Significantly, due to Corona infection, the Chief Justice of the High Court is also infected. Apart from this, many employees and lawyers of the High Court and district courts are also in the grip of infection. This decision has been taken in view of the pace of infection.

Previously issued guidelines will continue to be applicable for the remaining cases. Earlier, the High Court had allowed the trial of the cases in virtual and physical mode. But this order has been revised keeping in view the increasing rate of infection.

Only virtual hearing of cases in Pradhan Peeth Prayagraj

In view of the increasing outbreak of Corona infection, the Allahabad High Court’s head bench, Prayagraj, will have the only a virtual hearing of cases. Admission of cases will also be done online from Tuesday 27 April. There will be no admission of cases by being physically present.
