About 3 lakh new cases of Corona in 24 hours, 2023 people lost their lives- The speed of coronavirus in the country has become uncontrollable. At present, there is no possibility of deficiency in it. New cases of infection are increasing at a very fast pace, along with this the number of deaths is also increasing significantly. Over 2.95 lakh new cases of corona infection have been reported in the last day and during this time more than 2 thousand people have lost their lives. Most of the new cases have been found in 10 states only. In Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, the infection remains very critical. The maximum number of new cases have been found in these states.
According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, a record 2023 people have died due to corona infection and more than 2 lakh 95 thousand new cases have been registered. After this, the total number of positive cases in the country has increased to 1,56,16,130. The total number of active cases in the country is 21,57,538 and the total number of cured patients has reached 1,32,76,039.
The steady decline in the death rate
So far 1,82,553 people have lost their lives due to the Corona epidemic. However, despite record deaths, the death rate is steadily declining and currently stands at 1.17 per cent. Experts also say that the second wave of the corona epidemic is more deadly infectious, which means that the number of people getting infected is more, but their deaths are decreasing in proportion.
More than 16 lakh tests on Tuesday
People are being investigated on a war footing in the country to detect corona infection. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 16 lakh 39 thousand 357 samples were tested in the country on Tuesday to detect corona infection. Together, a total of 27 crores 10 lakh 53 thousand 392 samples have been tested in the country so far.
