PSLV-C44 ready to launch Microsat-R and Kalamsat: ISRO launched a successful launch of two satellites via PSLV’s Launch Weekly C-44 on Thursday night, at eleven and 37 minutes. Microsat-R Satelite played a key role in deciding when to launch.

Two satellites successfully launched from PSLV’s launch, Weekly, C-44, at midnight from Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. This was the second such opportunity in five months when the satellite was launched at night. Satellite Microsat-R played the main role in determining the launch time. Kailasavadivoo Sivan, chairman of ISRO, says the time has been chosen according to the need of the satellite.

In fact, 740 kilograms of imaging satellite Microsat-R was planned in such a way that it would cross the equator around 12 noon every day when the sun is illuminating the Indian region. On Thursday, PSLVC-44 launched Microsat-R and Kalam SAT R Satellite with the first launch pad of Sriharikota’s Indian Spaceport at 37 minutes at night.
