Relief to Yogi government from Supreme Court – The Supreme Court has now stayed the High Court’s decision to lockdown in five cities of UP for the prevention of uncontrolled corona. Giving big relief to the Yogi government on this issue, the Supreme Court has said that if the state government feels that it will control the corona epidemic then it is okay, do not impose lockdown. The case will be heard again after two weeks.

The Allahabad High Court order was challenged by the UP government in the Supreme Court. A hearing was held on Tuesday and the Supreme Court stayed the High Court order. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta cross-examined the Supreme Court on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It is being told that during the hearing, the Supreme Court expressed displeasure over the UP government making the Allahabad High Court a party. The court said that the High Court should be removed from the list of the defendants. Advocate Tushar Mehta in the Supreme Court said that the state government has taken many steps and many steps have to be taken regarding corona infection. The decision of the lockdown in five cities of the High Court is not correct. This will lead to problems faced by the administration.

It is worth noting that yesterday, Allahabad High Court had imposed the lockdown till April 26 in five more affected cities of the state in view of the explosive infection of Corona and the failed medical system on April 19. Only essential services were allowed. The High Court had directed the Chief Secretary to implement the lockdown in Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. At the same time, the state government was also directed to consider implementing a full lockdown in the state for two weeks to curb the corona infection.

The court did not consider the rule’s action to be satisfactory on the previous instructions and said that people are walking on the streets without masks. Police have failed to apply 100% mask. The infection continues to grow. There is a shortage of medicines and oxygen in hospitals. People are dying without treatment due to a lack of medicine and the government has not made any immediate plans. Nor pre-prepared. The doctors, including the medical staff, are infected up to the chief minister. Patients are rushing to hospitals for treatment. The court said that it is difficult for the government to prepare the infrastructure immediately to deal with this disaster but efforts are needed on a war footing.

On this, on the order of complete lockdown, the Yogi government has clarified that at present there is no intention of complete lockdown in UP. A spokesman for the Yogi government said that strictness is necessary for the control of the corona. For this, the government has taken many steps and further strict steps are being taken. Along with saving lives, the livelihood of the poor has to be saved. Therefore, complete lockdown in cities will not be done yet. Yogi Sarkar went to the Supreme Court on this matter where he got relief on Tuesday. The Supreme Court has now stayed the High Court order.
