Many people are seen to be negligent about the ongoing vaccination campaign against Corona in the country. There are some states where people are not coming to vaccination centers to get vaccinated. For such people, an officer of the Tribal Welfare Department in a district of Chhattisgarh has issued an order asking his staff members to get Covid-19 vaccine. Along with this, he has been instructed that if the vaccine is not administered, then his next month’s salary will be withheld.

On May 21, a copy of the order issued by Assistant Commissioner KS Masram in Gorella-Pendra-Marwahi district went viral on social media. People have expressed their displeasure over the order. The order asked officers and employees working in the offices, ashrams (residential schools), hostels run by the tribal welfare department in the district to submit vaccination cards to their office after getting vaccinated.

The order states that if no one gets vaccinated, their salary will be withheld for the next month. Earlier, on May 20, Masram had also issued an order to vaccinate Covid-19 vaccination of all the officers and employees working in the department.

When asked about this, Masram said that the objective behind this order is to ensure 100% vaccination of the officers and employees of the department in the fight against Corona. He has claimed that 95 percent of staff members have taken vaccine shots after the order was issued. He also said that the department would not withhold the salary of its employees for the next month, this order was for vaccination of employees.

New cases of corona infection continue to fluctuate. At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona has also been recorded. In the last 24 hours more than 2.11 lakh new corona patients have been found and 3,847 people have lost their lives. Meanwhile, black fungus is also increasingly engulfing people in the country.
