Arvind Kejriwal’s big bet in Punjab elections: if he wins free electricity up to 300 units- Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has sounded the bugle for Punjab Assembly elections. On Tuesday, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal made a big bet by promising that if his party wins in Punjab, up to 300 units of free electricity will be given to each family every month. He said that this would benefit 80 per cent people in Punjab and they would not have to make any payment in the name of electricity bill. Along with this, he also announced to waive off the outstanding bills of domestic electricity consumers. Kejriwal said that apart from providing free electricity to the people in the state, we will also ensure uninterrupted supply.

Arvind Kejriwal said that if his Aam Aadmi Party wins the Punjab Assembly elections, then in the very first cabinet meeting, a decision to give relief in electricity prices will be taken. Giving the example of Delhi, the AAP leader said that when we contested elections in Delhi for the first time in 2013, we used to see that bills were sent exaggeratedly to the people. Like Punjab, the government was in alliance with the power companies. Today, people in Delhi are getting 24 hours power supply at a very low cost. We have to implement that model of Delhi in Punjab also.

Attacking the Captain government, Arvind Kejriwal said that almost the most expensive electricity in the entire country is available in Punjab, while electricity is produced in Punjab. Despite this, why is the most expensive electricity available in Punjab? Because there is a dirty nexus between the power company and the government power of Punjab. Let us inform you that CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced to contest all the seats of Punjab in the elections to be held next year. At the same time, Congress is also entering the field alone and the Akali Dal has announced an alliance with Mayawati’s party BSP.
