Government hospitals and government will get DRDO’s corona drug 2-DG at low prices-  There has been a big news about Covid-19 Medicine 2DG, developed by Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). (DRDO) corona drug 2-DG will be provided to government hospitals, central and state governments at low cost. The news agency ANI quoted a government official as saying that the price of DRDO’s 2DG anti-covid 19 drug developed by Dr. Reddy’s Lab has been kept at Rs 990 per pouch. Medicines will be made available to government hospitals, central and state government at a discounted price.

What is the price?

A pouch of the anti-Covid-19 drug 2DG, developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), has been priced at Rs 990. However, it will be given to government hospitals, central and state governments at a low cost.

The second batch of Covid-19 Medicine 2DG, developed by DRDO, was released on Thursday. Dr. Reddy’s Lab released it. In this consignment 10,000 sachets of 2dg medicines were released. According to the information, now this drug will also be available in the market. The first consignment of the 2-DG, developed by DRDO, was released on 17 May amidst ongoing conflict in the country with the second wave of Kovid-19.

The emergency use of the 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) drug on patients with moderate and severe symptoms of corona has been approved by the Drug Controller General of India (DGCI).

This drug reduces oxygen dependence

The Defense Ministry reported in a statement on May 8 that clinical trials of 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG) showed that it helps reduce oxygen dependence of hospitalized patients. Also, patients recover faster with this medicine.

Frontline and health workers also have the facility

Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. According to Manohar Agnani’s letter, this facility has been given to the priority group. In which people above 45 years of age along with frontline and health workers will also get this facility. However, if they wish, then they can also take another dose of vaccine from a private hospital at a rate fixed by the government.
