Coronavirus Live Updates: New cases fall, 1.96 lakh new cases and 3511 people die in a day- Today cases of coronavirus infection have declined. There have been 1,96,427 new cases in the last 24 hours. 3,511 people have died in one day and 3,26,850 people have been discharged in one day.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of corona-infected patients in the country has risen to 2,69,48,874. So far, a total of 3,07,231 people have died due to infection. The number of active cases in the country is 25,86,782.

Along with coronavirus infection, vaccination work is also going on in the country at a rapid pace. In the last 24 hours, 24,30,236 people have been vaccinated across the country. After which the total vaccination figure has reached 19,85,38,999.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 20,58,112 sample tests have been conducted on 23 May. A total of 33,25,94,176 sample tests have been done in the country so far.

New cases reduced in Maharashtra

There have been 22,122 new cases of coronavirus infection in Maharashtra during the last 24 hours. During this time 42,320 people were discharged and 361 people died. A total of 51,82,592 people in Maharashtra have been cured of the infection. Of these, the number of active cases is 3,27,580.

How is Telangana?

There have been 3,043 new cases of coronavirus infection in Telangana during the last 24 hours. During this period, 4,693 people were discharged and 21 people died. In Telangana, 5,13,968 people have been cured of the infection while the number of active cases is 39,206. So far, 3,146 people have died here due to infection.

17,883 new cases in West Bengal

West Bengal has reported 17,883 new infections during the last 24 hours. During this time 19,670 people were discharged and 153 people died. A total of 12,48,668 people have been cured of the infection in West Bengal. Of these, the number of active cases is 11,41,871. So far, 14,517 people have died due to infection in the state.
