Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is preparing to launch its next communication satellite GSAT-7A on Wednesday. IT is being accumulated that this satellite is very special for the IAF. Come on, know what the significance of this satellite is for the army.

GSAT 7A will be launched from the launch pad of Sriharikota on Wednesday at 4:10 pm with the GSLV-F11 rocket. As soon as the satellite reaches Geo Orbit, all the different Ground Radar stations of the IAF, Airbase, and AWACS will be connected through this communication satellite. This Will increase the ability to multiple times from network-based air force.

Why is the GSAT-7A special for the IAF?

Only Air Force airbase will not only be interlinking from GSAT-7A but also help in drone operations. Through this, there will be a lot of increase in the ground range of the Air Force in Drone-based operations. Special features of Gsat-7A? 

The cost of this satellite is being mentioned as Rs. 500-800 crores. It has 4 solar panels installed, through which 3.3 kW power can be generated. Along with this, there is also a bi-propellant chemical propulsion system to go back or forth in the classroom.

Prior to Gsat-7A, ISRO has launched the Gsat-7 satellite known as ‘Rukmini’. It was launched on 29 September 2013 and it was prepared for the Indian Navy. It provides communication facilities to the satellite navy’s warships, submarines, and aircraft. It is believed that in the coming years, the IAF can get another satellite GSAT-7C, which will increase its operational-based network and increase.
