West Bengal Election: ECI bans BJP leader Rahul Sinha, warns Shubhendu Adhikari, notice to Dilip Ghosh- Incidents of violence and rhetoric are coming to light during the elections in West Bengal. Meanwhile, the Election Commission had banned the campaigning of TMC chief and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for 24 hours on Monday. Now the Election Commission has taken similar action against BJP leader Rahul Sinha. The Election Commission has banned him from campaigning for 48 hours. He is accused of making objectionable statements in relation to armed forces. Now Rahul Sinha will not be able to campaign for the next 48 hours.

With this, the Election Commission has warned BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari and has also issued a notice to Dilip Ghosh. Shubhendu Adhikari is accused of giving an objectionable speech on 29 March. He has sent a reply in this regard to the Election Commission on 9 April.

At the same time, the Election Commission has given time till 10 am on Wednesday morning to the BJP Chief of West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh. The Election Commission has asked him for clarification on the statement on violence in Cooch Behar.

BJP leader Rahul Sinha made a controversial statement during a rally. He had said, ‘Not 4 but 8 people should have been killed in Sitalkuchi. Central forces should send show cause notice as to why they killed only 4 people.

At the same time, the Election Commission has banned her campaigning for 24 hours due to Mamata Banerjee’s statements against the central forces and a statement containing alleged religious instincts. Condemning the decision, Banerjee said that she would hold a sit-in in the city on Tuesday against the unconstitutional and undemocratic decision of the commission.

CISF fired in self-defence

Initial reports said that a crowd of around 350-400 people surrounded the CISF personnel, after which they opened fire in ‘self-defence’. It is alleged that the people involved in the mob tried to snatch their rifles from the personnel of the Central Security Force.

Election Commission sent notice to Dilip Ghosh

The Election Commission issued a notice to him on the alleged statement of West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh, in which he had said that ‘there will be a recurrence of Sitalkuchi in many places’.

Election Commission warns Shuvendu officer

The Election Commission of India has warned West Bengal BJP leader Shuvendu Adhikari (Suvendu Adhikari) in a speech given on 29 March. He sent a reply in this regard to the Election Commission on 9 April. The Election Commission has advised him to avoid making such statements while making public statements during the model code.
