After the resignation of the Urjit Patel, the regime was running at the top of the RBI governor’s race. Das had played a major role in the decision to ban the Modi government. Das was also involved in the draft of this decision.

Referring to the personal reason of Urjit Patel, one day after the exit of RBI governor, Shaktikanta Das was Appointed as the new governor on Tuesday. Das has been appointed as the RBI governor for a period of three years. He will be the 25th governor of the Reserve Bank of India.

Das, who has earned a Postgraduate  Degree from St. Stephen’s  New Delhi, has worked with several joint secretaries of the Secretariat and Expenditure Department of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, special commissioner, Tamil Nadu government and revenue Commissioner, Industry department.

Let us now that last year, Das had an important role in the decision-making rule. Das was one of those people who drafted this decision taken by the government.

The Appointed Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointed of retired IAS  Officer           Shaktikanta Das as the Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Tamil Nadu cadre, 1980 Batch, for a period of three years, the finance minister has approved Statement.

Urjit left the job a day ago: It is noteworthy that after the differences with the central government on several issues including the autonomy of the Reserve Bank, Reserve Bank’s 24th Governor Urjit Patel, suddenly surprised everyone by resigning on Monday evening. However, he cited personal reasons behind it.
