PM Modi G7 summit 2021: due to Corona PM will not go to Britain to attend G7 meeting- The meeting is held in Britain from 11 to 13 June. The Ministry of External Affairs said that this decision has been taken in view of the latest status of Covid-19. This meeting of the G7 countries will be held in Cornwall from 11 to 13 June.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said, “I thank UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson for inviting Prime Minister Modi as a special guest at the G7 summit.” But, given the current situation of Covid-19, it has been decided that he will not be present in this conference himself. ‘

The Group of Seven (G7) consists of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the US and the UK as well as the European Union. Britain, chairing the G7 group, has invited India, Australia, South Korea and South Africa to the conference. This second foreign visit of Prime Minister Modi has been canceled in recent times.

Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs had announced the cancellation of Modi’s visit to Portugal. The Prime Minister was to attend the India-EU summit. The conference took place through digital medium.

British Prime Minister Johnson also had to cancel his tour of India in the past due to the condition of Corona virus infection. After this, on 4 May, Modi and Johnson had a meeting via digital.

Prime Minister Modi visited Bangladesh in the month of March. He went to Dhaka to participate in celebrations to mark 50 years of Bangladesh’s independence. However, he could not attend the meeting himself after some members of the Indian delegation were infected with Covid-19. .
