CLAT 2021 Exam: Common Law Admission Test Registration Date Extended, Apply By May 15: Online registration deadline has been extended for Common Law Admission Test, (Common Law Admission Test, CLAT 2021) exam. According to this, candidates can now apply for this examination by May 15, 2021. As such, candidates who have not yet applied for the CLAT exam can apply online by visiting the official website https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/.

However, there has been no update by the Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) to reschedule the CLAT 2021 exam date. The decision to extend the CLAT 2021 registration deadline has been taken by the Executive Committee of the Consortium of National Law Universities in a meeting. This meeting was held on the previous day i.e. April 28, 2021. CNLU has taken this decision due to the conditions arising out of the coronavirus.

Candidates appearing in the CLAT exam should note that they should apply for the exam on time, because applying at the last minute of time increases the load on the official website, due to which the candidates face a lot of difficulty in filling the form. We have to do this, so keep this in mind. As per the update on the official portal, the CLAT exam will be held on June 13, 2021, from 2 pm to 4 pm.

CLAT 2021: Apply online for Common Law Admission Test

The candidates applying online for the CLAT exam will first have to visit the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in. After this, click on the ‘CLAT 2021’ tab and register yourself by entering the mobile number. Create a password for future login. Now login to the account with login credentials. After this fill in the required details and upload the documents asked in the application form. After reviewing the details, pay the fee and submit the form. After this, download the application form and take a printout for future use.

Common law admission test is a national level entrance exam. Through this exam, admission is given in undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law courses. 22 law universities in the country offer this course.

In November 2019, the Consortium of National Law University announced a change in the CLAT exam and the pattern of questions. The candidates taking the exam will now have to take 150 questions instead of 200. Which will be for 150 marks. The paper will have five subjects – English Language, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques.
