CBSE Board 10th & 12th Exam 2021: CBSE 12th examinations postponed and 10th exams cancelled- The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the board exams of class 12 and cancelled the examinations of class 10. The decision was taken today in the meeting of Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Education Secretary and other top officials led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in view of increasing cases of infection of Kovid-19. The CBSE Board (CBSE 10th 12th Exams 2021) examinations were to be held from May 4 to June 14.

After the meeting, a statement was shared about the decisions taken in connection with the CBSE board examinations. CBSE has cancelled the 10th board exams, hence the results of these students will be released on the basis of internal assessment according to the criteria set by the board. If a student remains dissatisfied with this result, then he/she will be given an opportunity to appear in the examination after the condition of Corona Mahamari is normal. According to the Ministry of Education, the new schedule of the 12th exams will be prepared on June 1 by looking at the condition of Corona in the country and students will be informed about the exam 15 days before the scheduled time.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has welcomed the decision to cancel the Class 10 examination and postpone the Class 12 examination, while Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra expressed happiness over the Centre’s decision to cancel the Class 10 examination. However, he also said that a final decision should also be taken regarding the 12th class examination.

Significantly, several leaders including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had demanded the cancellation of the CBSE examinations in view of the increasing threats of coronavirus infection.

Earlier, in view of the increasing cases of the Covid-19 epidemic, Maharashtra has also decided to postpone the state board examinations in late May or June. Apart from this, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has postponed the class 10, 12 examinations further. MP Board 10th, 12th examinations were to start from 30th April. The MP School Education Department will announce new dates soon.
