Night curfew in Dehradun The cabinet has decided to impose a night curfew in the capital Dehradun in view of increasing cases of corona infection in the state. Apart from Chakrata and Kalsi area, the cabinet has also approved the closure of all schools from class one to 11th in the entire Dehradun district, Haridwar district, Nainital municipality and Haldwani municipality area till April 30. Offline studies of class 10 and class 12 will continue as before. The cabinet has also postponed the decision of the previous Trivandra government to make Garsain a commissioner.

The cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat took place in the Secretariat on Friday late evening. It discussed 22 proposals, while two were adjourned. In view of the increasing cases of corona infection, the most important decision was taken to impose a curfew in Dehradun from 10 am to 5 am. In Dehradun district, cases of corona infection have increased for the last few days. Dehradun has the highest number of corona infection cases in the state. Apart from this, cases of corona infection have also increased in Haridwar, Haldwani and Nainital. In view of this, it has been decided to keep schools closed in these places for up to 30 April.

Cabinet decisions

  • The decision to postpone the decision of the non-commissioned commissioner
  • Due to Kovid-19, relaxation in procurement rules will continue for six months i.e. September.
  • The decision to reduce performance security to three percent after tendering, bidding security will not be taken
  • No stamp duty will be levied in loans given to street vendors under PM Swanidhi Yojana
  • The new private investor will be selected for the ropeway to be built in PPP mode till Jankichatti-Yamunotri, agreed to resolve the dispute with the old company
  • Strict on chit fund companies, Uttarakhand unregulated deposit scheme ban rules approved, the government can investigate on complaint against chit fund companies, got the right to seize property
  • Cabinet Sub Committee to be constituted to amend the Uttarakhand Minerals (Prevention of Illegal Mining / Transport / Storage) Act
  • Permission to continue pre-approved mining leases for a fixed period, formation of other cabinet sub-committee on storage in hilly areas
  • Target to purchase 2.20 lakh metric tonnes of wheat in the state, the decision to give an additional bonus of Rs 20 per quintal
  • Under Mukhyamantri Mahalakshmi Yojana, mothers and girls will get the free kit if they have two daughters
