Corona Medicine 2DG By DRDO: 10,000 doses of anti-corona drug 2-DG ready, will launch today- India’s war against Corona virus infection continues. In this series, the first consignment of 2-DG, a corona drug developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), will be launched today. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan will launch this medicine at 10.30 am today. After the launch, it will start getting patients in the next one or two days. If sources are to be believed, its 10,000 doses have been prepared in the Doctor Reddy’s Lab of Hyderabad.
DCGI had already approved emergency use
The Defense Ministry earlier this month reported that the emergency use of this drug on patients with moderate and severe symptoms of Kovid-19 has been approved by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI). Let us tell you that DCGI approved the emergency use of this medicine in view of the continuous increase in new cases of corona. Now the two Union ministers will launch the first batch of this medicine at an event at DRDO headquarters today.
Patients’ dependence on oxygen will decrease
The Ministry of Defense says that the ongoing second wave of Kovid-19 is necessitating a large number of patients with oxygen and hospitalization. This drug can be given to the normal to severe patients of Corona. The 2-deoxy-D-glucose drug will help patients recover faster and reduce their dependence on oxygen.
