Miss Universe 2018: The 67th Miss Universe Pageant was held in Bangkok, Muang Thong Thani, Thailand. Former Miss Universe Demi Nell Peter of South Africa crowned the new winner Phillipine’s Catriona Gray (Miss Universe 2018)  as the new Miss Universe Crown. The top 3 Finalists were Miss Philippines, Miss South Africa, and Miss Venezuela, among which Miss  Philippines Catriona Gray Head Was Miss Universe Crown.

Prior to this, in the top 5 round, apart from Filipinos, South Africa and Venezuela, Puerto Rico and Vietnam’s Constant made their place. So in the top 10 rounds of Miss Universe 2018, the host country also reached Thailand, Canada, Curacao, Costa Rica. Miss India Nehal Chudasama, representing India, has failed to make it to the Top 10.

So there, Miss South Africa Tamerin Green, second runner-up and Miss Venezuela Stephanie Gutierrez, second runner-up. Miss Universe 2018 Caterina Elisa Gray, the resident of the Philippines, is Australia’s television host and Singer. Gray’s father is of Australian origin and has been raised in Cairns (Australia). Gray is the fourth Philippine woman to win this title.

After winning the Miss Universe contest, Gray said, ‘I wore a red dress because when I was 13, my mother said that she had dreamed that I would win the competition in a red dress.’ He said that after winning the competition when they saw each other, their mother started crying. Philippine President Rodrigo Duette’s office also congratulated Gray. This year the theme of the competition was ‘Women’s empowerment’.

This Year’s special mention of the Miss Universe has also been that for the first time a transgender candidate also participated in the contest. Spain’ Angela Ponce is the first transgender candidate to participate in the first Miss Universe. Though she could not even make a place in the stage, the people present there raised their tremendous courage by cheering for them.

Miss Universe 2018 was attended by  94 countries of the beauties of which Miss Philipines was crown. Steve Harvey and Ashely Graham hosted to show.
