The team of ‘Taarak Mehta’ gave last farewell to Nattu Kaka- including Jethalal and Babita ji arrived- Actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who played the role of Nattu Kaka in ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, passed away on Sunday at the age of 77. He was battling cancer. Ghanshyam Nayak’s death has shocked everyone from his fellow actors to the fans. Ghanshyam Nayak was cremated today (October 4). Ghanshyam Nayak’s co-stars Bhavya Gandhi (earlier used to play the character of Tappu), Jethalal aka Dilip Joshi, producer Asit Modi, Bhide Master i.e. Mandar Chandwadkar, Munmun Dutta, Tanuj Mahashabde (Iyer Bhai) among others were seen.

desperate to return to work
In April last year, Ghanshyam Nayak’s health had worsened due to cancer. Some spots were found in his neck, which was operated on and eight knots were removed. Ghanshyam wanted to recover and return to work as soon as possible.

Ghanshyam’s death was informed on social media by Asit Modi, the producer of ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. Asit Modi wrote on Twitter, ‘Our beloved Nattu Kaka is no more with us. May the Almighty God give him a place at his feet and give him supreme peace, may his family have the strength to bear this loss. Nattu kaka we cannot forget you.’
