In Mumbai traffic police will not stop the vehicle and check the documents – New order issued- Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale has issued a new order for Mumbai Traffic Police. Under this order, traffic policemen can no longer stop vehicles on the roads and interrogate the drivers for documents. The purpose of this order is to relieve the residents of the city from the traffic jams that are caused by such action.
However, the Commissioner of Police has said in this order that the traffic police will have the right to investigate the vehicles by conducting a legal inquiry or blockade against the guilty drivers in special circumstances or in case of violation of traffic rules.
In this type of action, traffic can be stopped. But for this, without any separate arrangement or alternative arrangement, the investigation will have to be done. According to Nagrale, the Mumbai Traffic Police has been directed to give priority to action against drivers who violate traffic rules. In this regard, necessary instructions have been issued by the Commissionerate of Police to the Joint Commissioner of Police, all Deputy Commissioners and Assistant Commissioners of Traffic Police.
