Chhapaak First Look: Deepika Padukone is ready to come back to the screen with another project, which is based on the life of acid attack Survivor Laxmi Agrawal, after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s spell-dazzling film, Padmaavat, has made the audience enchanting with its spectacular performance.¬†On Monday, the actress resorted to Twitter to share the look of her character named Malti. “A character who will always be with me … # Malti,” the actress captured the picture. She also said that the film will be released on January 10, 2020.

Similarly, Meghna Gulzar, who will direct the film, Malti is called ‘Courage’ and ‘Hope’. “It is a hope, he is hopeful, She is @deepikapadukone as #Malti in #Chhapaak, shoot starts from today and is being released on 10th January 2020,” She wrote on Twitter.

Chhapaak is based on the life and struggle of Lakshmi Agrawal, the poster girl of Acid Attack Survivors in India. The acid was thrown when she was still in school.

Chhapaak First Look is released. On being asked about playing Padukone during the Lit for Life 2019 program held earlier in Chennai, Gulzar said, “You will not be able to see Deepika, you know, you are looking at a humiliated Deepika Padukone. There is an inequality between “Survivor and Deepika,” adding that the film will show a wreck to people that violence in a person’s life can flare up. Talking about the film, Padukone – which will also make Chhapaak – first told the Mumbai Mirror, “When I heard this story, I shaken deeply because it was not just violence and courage and hope and victory. An effect on me, personally and constructively, I need to move forward and therefore the decision to become a creator. ” Also starring Vikrant Massey as a companion of Padukone, the film has been produced jointly by Gulzar and Padukone. The beginning of Chhapaak will be from today (March 25).
